What is a mini shoot?

A mini shoot is a short photography session. While a standard photo shoot might last for an hour or longer, a mini shoot typically lasts for about 20 minutes. This way there can be multiple sessions for different families all at the same location and date.

Mini shoots make getting your photo taken feel light and fun! They are more low-key than a standard photo session, and kids do better with the shorter shoot time. You'll still end up with plenty of great photos of you and your family, and everything will be wrapped up before the fatigue of posing and smiling too much sets in for your little ones.

How does membership work?

Members pay a yearly rate that gives them full access to our monthly schedule of mini shoots throughout the year.

You can attend as many mini shoots as you please. This can be a great way to get a variety of pictures with different styles throughout the year.

Shoots take place in and around Salt Lake City.

Can I choose the date and location of my shoot?

No, but you can choose to attend the mini shoots that work best for you. We'll offer a variety of dates, times, and different locations throughout the year so you'll be sure to find some that are a good fit.

Who can I bring to my session?

Your membership covers you and your family group of up to 8 people. Your family group can include your significant other, children, parents, siblings, grandparents, and friends that you consider practically family. 😁

Contact us if your family is larger than 8 people and you are interested in becoming a member.

Extended family photo sessions are not limited to 8 people.

Can we bring our family dog?

Totally! We get it, they're a part of the family too. If you would like to include Buddy in your defined family group, go right ahead. Keep in mind though that some photo sessions will not be at pet friendly locations. We'll indicate whether a shoot is pet friendly when we post the details for upcoming sessions. We definitely plan to have at least a couple of pet friendly locations and photoshoots per year.

What if I can't make it to every shoot?

That's not a problem. While you're free to sign up for every mini session, we see the Honeybee Photo membership being a great value even for families who only attend the sessions that most appeal to them as far as location, theme, and dates are concerned. We offer a wide variety of different sessions throughout the year to make the process of getting family photos simple and stress free.

How do I start my membership?

How do I log in to my account?

Once you sign up you'll be able to log in to our website using your email address. Logged in users have access to our members-only mini shoots schedule as well as our members-only newsletter.

What if I don't receive the login email?

If you're not seeing the email, please check your spam or promotions folder and consider adding hello@honeybee.photo to your contacts to avoid any delivery problems. If that doesn't work, double check that you entered the correct email address. If you still haven't received the login details, please contact us. We can manually send you a one-time link to log you into the site.

How do I change my password?

Members don't need passwords. You simply sign in using your email address. An email will automatically be sent to your inbox with a one-time link you can follow to sign in. There's no need to remember another password and it's also more secure. Once you're signed in, our site will remember your browser and device so you won't be required to sign in every time you visit.

How do I cancel my membership?

Sign in and click on the account button in the top menu or the account icon at the bottom right. From there you'll be able to easily change your membership status as well as other account details including email address and credit card payment details.

How do I renew my membership?

Your membership will automatically renew each year unless you cancel. If you need any help at all, please contact us.

If you previously had a membership that lapsed and want to subscribe again, just log in to our site using the same email address you previously used. Check your email and click the one-time log in link that is automatically sent. You will now be logged in. Click the account button. From the account page you will be able to renew your membership.

How do I sign up for a photo session?

On the website, find the mini shoot you want to attend and follow the instructions on the page. You can sign up using the form, or just send us an email or text.

How do I cancel my photo session?

We understand that things come up. You can email, call, or text us to let us know you can't make it to the shoot.

When will I receive my photos?

Photos will be sent your way quickly, usually within two weeks. We will send your photos directly to your photo app of choice (Apple Photos or Google Photos). That way you'll have them right in your photo roll, where you use them most. We can also send you a download link if you prefer.

Can I make prints and share the photos?

Of course! We will provide the high resolution photos for you to use however you choose. If you share photos on social media, we would love for you to tag Honeybee Photo, but no pressure. 😊
